These House Rules set out the terms for the provision of services, responsibilities and stay in SZCZAWNICA COTTAGE. By booking the Cottage you accept the provisions hereof. These House Rules constitute an integral part of the short-term Rental Agreement.
The Cottage must be booked in writing.
Payment of the advance deposit shall confirm the conclusion of the Rental Agreement under the terms specified herein.
The House Rules and Price List are available online at https://szczawnicacottage.com.
These House Rules shall apply to all Guests of the Cottage and other persons staying at the Cottage. To ensure your stay at the Cottage is relaxing and safe, please follow the House Rules.
We do not provide transport, catering or organisation of the Guest’s stay.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
Advanced booking is required before your arrival at the Cottage. The Cottage can be booked for a minimum of 2 nights in low season and 3 nights in high season, which is specified in the Price List.
Check-in time: 16:00 / check-out time: 11:00 the next day.

The total booking price includes:
• accommodation;
• security deposit of PLN 500;
• cleaning fee of PLN 200;
• visitors’ tax of PLN 5 per person per day.
To book the Cottage, please pay an advance deposit of 50% of the booking amount within 24 hours from the booking confirmation received from us, to the bank account:

Transfer title: Advance deposit for booking from [date] to [date] for [number] persons and the full name of the person making the booking.
The advance deposit shall be credited towards the total booking amount.
You must pay the outstanding 50% of the booking amount within three (3) days before the check-in date. Please email your bank transfer confirmation to contact@szczawnicacottage.com. If the outstanding amount is not paid, we have the right to cancel your booking without refunding the advance deposit.
If you cancel the booking, the advance deposit is non-refundable. However, it can be transferred to book the Cottage at the later dates, subject to availability.
The security deposit shall be paid in cash on arrival and shall be returned on the day of departure if no damage to/loss of Landlord’s property made available for the Guests is found. Should any damage to/loss of the Landlord’s property, the security deposit shall not be refunded.
If you leave earlier, the booking amount for the remaining nights is non-refundable.
It is possible to extend the stay only if there are no previous bookings of the Cottage. If you wish to stay longer, please call us do discuss.
If you wish to book the Cottage less than 3 days before the planned arrival date, you must pay 100% of the full booking amount via bank transfer within 24 hours from the booking confirmation received from us, otherwise we cannot book the Cottage for you.
The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age.
Keys will be handed over in person on arrival at the Cottage.
Guest must not transfer the booking of the Cottage to third parties.
The maximum number of Guests in the Cottage is 8 adults or 6 adults and 4 children. If more persons stays at the Cottage (without our consent and knowledge), we shall be entitled to immediately terminate the Rental Agreement with all consequences without refunding the previously paid booking fee.
We reserve the right to immediately terminate the Rental Agreement with all consequences without refunding the previously paid booking fee, if persons under the influence of alcohol or other abusive substances are found to disturb the House Rules and public order.
We reserve the right to refuse Guests who has grossly violated the House Rules during their previous stay.
By booking the Cottage, Guests agree to the processing of their personal data solely for the purpose of booking process and fulfilling the compulsory registration in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Guest has the right to access and update their personal data.
We reserve the right to cancel the booking due to seasons not attributable to us. In such cases we shall refund the booking costs already paid.
A one-off cleaning fee of PLN 200 shall be added to each booking.
The booking price includes one (1) container of firewood for the fireplace. If you use more than one (1) container of wood, we will charge you PLN 50 for each additional container of wood used.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Persons not registered for a stay at SZCZAWNICA COTTAGE may stay as guests on the premises under the sole responsibility of the person who booked the Cottage, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The person who booked the Cottage hereby agrees that if any unregistered person stay on the premises after 10:00 p.m., an addition fee of PLN 50 shall be charged for each person per day.
Staying in the Cottage or leaving belongings beyond 11.00 a.m. without our express consent is understood as extending the stay and subject to booking fee as per the Price List.
Persons under the age of 18 may only stay at the Cottage with and under the responsibility of an adult guardian.
For fire protection reasons, smoking, using heaters, irons and other electrical appliances, which are not part of the equipment of the Cottage (this does not apply to phone chargers and power supplies for radio/television and computer equipment) is strictly forbidden. Placing items on a hot fireplace, using and storing liquid firelighters is strictly forbidden. Burn fuels other than wood in the fireplace is strictly forbidden. Leaving the fireplace burning overnight or when Guests are absent from the Cottage is strictly forbidden.
The Landlord shall not be liable for any personal injury, health impairment or any other damage resulting from an accident caused by the improper use of the fireplace by the Guests or persons staying with them in the Cottage during the rental period.
Each time the Guests leaves the Cottage, for safety reasons, they undertake to turn off the TV, turn off the taps, turn off the lights and lock the windows and doors.
SZCZAWNICA COTTAGE issues two (2) sets of keys to the Guests. Should the keys be lost, the Guests will be charged PLN 100.
Smoking and tobacco products are strictly prohibited in the Cottage.
Persons failing to comply with fire safety regulations shall be subject to penalties under the Penal Code and the Petty Offence Code.
The Cottage has a fire extinguisher on each floor, which must be used in the event of a fire, and the relevant fire brigade, the Landlord or an authorised person must be informed of the incident immediately. For unjustified use of the fire extinguisher, the Guest will be charged PLN 200 and PLN 300 for cleaning the Cottage.
We charge our Guests a deposit of PLN 500 in case of accidents.
Guests bear full financial responsibility for any damage or destruction of furnishings and technical equipment caused by them, their visitors or failure to be cautious when using the fireplace as specified by the Landlord and shall be settled on check-out according to the valuation by the Landlord.
Night quiet time: from 22:00 to 07:00.
Guests shall not make any changes to the Cottage or its furnishings/equipment.
Rubbish and all waste must be properly separated and deposited in the bins located outside the Cottage.
The parking space on the premises is free of charge. Due to the narrow entrance, we shall not take any financial responsibility for any damage to the Guest’s car/vehicle due to incompetent parking.
OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We shall not be responsible for incidents and failures due to seasons beyond our control.
We shall not be responsible for temporary inconveniences caused by independent utility suppliers, e.g. temporary lack of water, electricity, internet.
We shall not be responsible for valuables left in the Cottage or on the patio. These items shall not be kept/stored once you leave the Cottage at the end of your booking term.
We shall not be liable for damage to or loss of a car or other vehicle belonging to a Guest or items left in it, whether such vehicles were parked in a parking space provided or outside the premises.
There is a 24/7 CCTV system operating at the premises.
PETS
Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the premises at this time.
CLAIMS/COMPLAINTS
Claims and complaints relating to your stay at the SZCZAWNICA COTTAGE shall be reported in person or by e-mail.
Any settlement of claims/complaints shall not include extending your booking period or (partial) refund of booking fee.
Complaints shall be processed on a case-by-case basis and Guests shall be informed on their settlement in writing/by email.
To all matters not settled herein provisions of the Polish Civil Code shall apply.
